Why I Practice
“Outside the System”
As of June 2025, I will have received my doctoral degree in naturopathic medicine, earning me the title of Dr. Moore, ND. But i Consciously choose not to activate any license. Why?
I walk the path of the unincorporated.
just as healers have done for centuries before licenses, codes, and bureaucracies existed.
North Carolina itself does not license naturopathic doctors in general, but even if it did, I would still choose to operate beyond the confines of state-sanctioned titles. I am not beholden to any governing body, pharmaceutical model, or insurance system. I am a living woman. My inspiration and work are older than those constructs.
Therefore, I do not “diagnose” or “prescribe”. I collaborate with nature’s rhythms, plant intelligence, light, water, minerals, and the sacred dialogue between body and soul.
This path is a reclamation of what healing once was and what it must become again. I practice with the freedom of one who remembers.
I am not a provider. I am a guide. A witness. A medicine woman.
